It is important to use social media to find job candidates, but you should not trust everything you read on Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook.  It is a good idea to cross check a candidate’s social media sites with his or her resume to see if you can spot some inconsistencies. 
• Do your research. It is important to look into the candidate’s credentials through a search engine for confirmation and to talk with a candidate’s references and make sure everything checks out.
